The Property Holding and Development Division has more than 20 years of expertise in property development and holding of investment properties, comprising residential, commercial and industrial properties. The Division has its origin in Sabah and continues to dominate the property development scene in Sabah.
Hap Seng Properties has established an excellent track record of building affordable high quality houses, which are well planned and attractively designed to provide ideal living spaces. The on-going developments are Taman Kingfisher Sulaman in Kota Kinabalu, Taman Sri Perdana in Lahad Datu and Bandar Sri Indah in Tawau. The Bandar Sri Indah project is the largest commercial-residential township development in Sabah, equipped with modern infrastructure and landscapes for homeowners to experience modern lifestyle.
A substantial land bank in prime locations provide opportunities for further developments in Sabah and in line with its expansion plan, the Division is expanding its activities to Peninsular Malaysia. A 30.88-hectare land in Puchong, Selangor was recently acquired for a mixed development that will be launched this year.
In 2004, the Group acquired the strategically located 22-storeyed MUI Plaza in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur. The building has been refurbished to give the building a face-lift and new contemporary look in 2006/2007. The building was renamed as Menara Hap Seng to reflect its ownership.
Property development has been identified as one of the core businesses of the Group.
