Hap Seng Continues Expansion in Vietnam With The Opening of One of SEA's Largest Mercedes-Benz Autohaus
In line with Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd’s expansion in Vietnam, the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary and authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer, Vietnam Star, unveiled a new state-of-the-art Autohaus in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 25 April 2012. The grand opening of Vietnam Star’s biggest ever investment sets an all-new benchmark in the Vietnam auto market as this new outlet offers the entire range of world-class products and services from the leading luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz. Under the event theme “A Star is born”, Mercedes-Benz on this occasion further put the spotlight on the new generation M-class as the best-selling luxury SUV made its Vietnam premiere.

At the opening event, Datuk Edward Lee Ming Foo, Group Managing Director of Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad, the sole shareholder of Vietnam Star and the investor in the Vietnam Star Mercedes-Benz Autohaus network, said: “Vietnam is a fast growing country and we are confident in the economic development. We see great potential in the development of the luxury segment in the short to mid term. More people want to own premium, safe, and fascinating cars of Mercedes-Benz, as well as have their cars serviced at Mercedes-Benz full sales and after-sales outlet available nationwide. We are committed to a long term investment in Vietnam.”

The new dealership – the Mercedes-Benz Brand Gallery has been established with an investment of five million US dollars from Vietnam Star and is ranked as a flagship Autohaus 600 according to the global standards of Daimler A.G, the owner of the Mercedes-Benz marquee. 

Located right next to the Phu My Hung ‘s service center on Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard, District7, in the heart of Saigon South new urban, the Mercedes-Benz Brand Gallery spreads over a large area in a three-level building with more than 4,400 square meters of usage space, accommodating up to 20 cars at a time in its showroom which boasts an AMG center on the 2nd level, along with service capacity for over 20 cars per day and parking space for more than 60 cars on its top roof and ground.
