New Quarry & Asphalt Plant in Johor

Hap Seng Building Materials Sdn Bhd officially launched its first Quarry and Asphalt Plant in the Southern Peninsular Malaysia Region (Johor) on 14 January 2011. Ulu Choh Quarry and Asphalt opening ceremony was launched by Datuk Edward Lee Ming Foo, Group Managing Director of Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad, Ronald John Delaney, Chief Executive – Quarry and Building Materials Division, and Andrew Talling, Operation Director – Quarry and Building Materials Division. Officers from Pejabat Tanah dan Galian (PTG), Jabatan Mineral dan Geosains (JMG), Police Department of Ulu Choh and head of villages also attended the opening ceremony.

Ulu Choh Quarry and Asphalt with its production capacity of 100,000 tonnes per month and 20,000 tonnes per month respectively are targeted to penetrate the local market within Johor Bahru and export market such as Singapore.
  
Through the use of the latest industry-related innovations and technology, Ulu Choh Quarry and Asphalt seeks to establish itself not just as the most cost efficient producer in the market, but also as a leading environmental performer. Relationships with the quarry community, dust, noise and vibration control as well as landscaping are treated with highest priority.
