This position requires a seasoned self-starter with an extensive background in
the operation of a brick factory. The ability to successfully implement a manufacturing
cost improvement program is a key requirement for the Company’s brick manufacturing
operation.
Conduct analysis on brick manufacturing operation, recommend actions for improvement
and provide periodic reports on rogress/developments
Monitor closely all areas of the factory to ensure that all processing works
are carried out to the highest standards
Minimize unscheduled/unplanned factory interruption, plant and equipment breakdowns
Undertake regular factory inspections and risk assessments
Compile and analyze standard volume data and operating cost data
Report, analyze and manage factory performance through the use of KPIs
Supervise and daily manage all operating personnel, suppliers and contractors
Increase plant and equipment reliability and ensure that all plant, equipment
and company vehicles are maintained to a good standard
Create good safety practices and maintain a safe work-place
Prepare and adhere to the factory’s annual operating budget and capital expenditure
plan
Formulate action plans to drive the operation towards profitability and lower
sustainable manufacturing cost
Identify suitable clay sources for the manufacturing of common bricks from within
the Company’s land bank and to develop a comprehensive development plan in consultation
with the relevant authorities
Conduct feasibility study for producing Clay pavers from the present site
Collaborate with the export department to produce saleable products for the Indonesian
market
Requirements
At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operation with heavy emphasis on
production
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, safety, quality control, budgeting
and capital planning, combined with strong business acumen
Excellent communication skills and a good team player
Good problem-solving skills and excellent time management capabilities
Enthusiastic and willing to learn and improve
