Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad listed its Plantation Division as Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia in its Initial Public Offering on 16 November 2007. As 2 May 2008, Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad retains 51.551% ownership of Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad.
Hap Seng Plantations' activities are located mainly in the Lahad Datu region in Sabah and consist of three Groups of Oil Palm Estates – Tomanggong Group of Estates, Sungai Segama Group of Estates, Jeroco Group of Estates – as well as Ladang Kawa Estate in Tawau and Pelipikan Estate in Kota Marudu.

Hap Seng Plantations operates on one contiguous block of plantation land of approximately 36,354 hectares between Lahad Datu and Sandakan region, in addition to two smaller plantations of 1,276 hectares in Tawau and 727 hectares in Kota Marudu. 33,379 hectares of planted area comprises 31,758 hectares of matured oil palm and 1,621 hectares of immature plantings.
Production of FFB for the financial period (11 months from 1 February 2008 to 31 December 2008, with change in Company's financial year from 31 January to 31 December) was 673,131 metric tons. The average Oil Extraction Rate (OER) of the Division's four Palm Oil Mills was 21.56%. Overall Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production was 141,464 metric tons. Palm Kernel (PK) production for the year was 31,900 metric tons, with an extraction rate of 4.86%.
