Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad listed its Plantation Division as Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in its Initial Public Offering on 16 November 2007. As at 3 June 2013 Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad retains 52.71% ownership of Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad

Hap Seng Plantations' activities are located mainly in the Lahad Datu region in Sabah and consist of three Groups of Oil Palm Estates – Tomanggong Group of Estates, Sungai Segama Group of Estates, Jeroco Group of Estates – as well as Ladang Kawa Estate in Tawau and Pelipikan Estate in Kota Marudu.

The total area of Hap Seng Plantations estates is 39,803 hectares. Hap Seng Plantations operates on one contiguous block of plantation land of approximately 36,354 hectares between Lahad Datu and Sandakan region, in addition to two smaller plantations of 1,276 hectares in Tawau and 2,173 hectares in Kota Marudu. 35,697 hectares of planted area comprises 30,455 hectares of matured oil palm and 5,096 hectares of immature plantings.
