Quarry & Building MaterialsCurrently, Hap Seng Building Materials Holdings Sdn Bhd operates four main subsidiaries, Hap Seng Trading (BM) Sdn Bhd, Hap Seng Building Materials Sdn Bhd, Hap Seng (Oil & Transport) Sdn Bhd and Hap Seng Clay Products Sdn Bhd. Hap Seng Building Materials Sdn Bhd was originally established in 1980 to produce crushed rock and aggregates for the construction industry with a quarry in Tawau, Sabah. At present, the Division operates stone quarries in East Malaysia and Peninsular Malaysia. The Division's ten quarries currently produce approximately 8.4 million metric tonnes of quality crushed rock and aggregates per year. The Division also operates four brick factories equipped with modern automation technology and has the production capacity of two hundred million bricks a year, located in Sabah, Johor and Pahang. The Division's trading products supplies a wide range of building materials for the construction and building industry. The Division operates warehouses with efficient inventory system to meet customer requirements. The easy availability of a wide range of high quality items has made Hap Seng Trading (BM) Sdn Bhd a preferred choice to customers. Hap Seng Trading (BM) Sdn Bhd is also the sole distributor for tiles produced by Malaysian Mosaics Berhad (MMB) in Malaysia. In addition to the domestic market, the Division exports to Brunei and Indonesia.
