The Automotive Division primarily comprises Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd (formerly Si Khiong Industries Sdn Bhd) and its subsidiaries Hap Seng Industrial Sdn Bhd (formerly Zarah Sdn Bhd), which operates primarily in Sabah and Sarawak, and Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd (formerly Si Khiong Star Sdn Bhd).

Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd has had a 40-year history in marketing Mercedes-Benz vehicles in East Malaysia and until recently was the sole authorized dealer for Mercedes-Benz logging trucks, general-purpose trucks, buses, passenger vehicles and spare parts in Sabah and Sarawak. In January 2005, DaimlerChrysler Malaysia awarded Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd the sole distributorship rights for Mitsubishi Fuso commercial vehicles in East Malaysia. This is in recognition for being an important strategic business partner to develop this range of commercial vehicles in East Malaysia. Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd is currently a dealer for Mazda in East Malaysia.

Hap Seng Industrial Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary located in Tawau, Sabah, fabricates and assembles logging truck trailers, tankers and other industrial transport vehicles. The Division's other business activity comprises re-build trucks and sales of its spare parts.

Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd, is an authorized dealer of Mercedes-Benz and Smart vehicles in the Klang Valley. In April 2010, Hap Seng Star Sdn Bhd took over Hap Seng Auto Sdn Bhd's role as the sole authorized dealer of Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi FUSO in East Malaysia. Mercedes-Benz is currently represented with an Autohaus showroom in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu and outlets in Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Bintulu.

Hap Seng Star’s initial showroom at Menara Hap Seng (formerly known as MUI Plaza) in Kuala Lumpur was opened in October 2004 and was relocated into a signature Mercedes-Benz Autohaus on a 31,000 sq ft site situated on the adjacent property in January 2006. This landmark building won the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award in the Specialized Project Category in 2008.

Hap Seng Star opened another state-of-the-art Autohaus located in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong in July 2006. This 2S service centre houses a showroom and a comprehensive after-sales facility, with a total built-up area of over 59,000 sq ft, 150 external park bays and up to 55 general work bays. In addition to the Mercedes-Benz and Smart brand of vehicles, this service centre is able to service the exclusive Maybach luxury brand of vehicles. This building won the FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards for Industrial Development in 2008 and also won a PAM 2009 Award for Industrial Building.
